Registry of Open Access Research Infrastructures
As part of its strategy to promote Open Access, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), by Senate decision no. 35/68/12-05-2022, approved the General Open Access Regulation and proceeded to establish the Registry of Open Access Research Infrastructures, both at departmental and institutional level.
The aim of this Registry is to make the University’s significant research infrastructures and equipment accessible:
- to the broader scientific and research community, and
- to public and private bodies operating within the country’s productive and innovation ecosystem.
This initiative is part of the University’s wider effort to align with modern national and international practices in the field of open science and research collaboration.
The Regulation defines the terms and conditions for the use of Open Access Research Infrastructures (OARI). Specifically, it:
- Clarifies the relationship between infrastructure providers and users or research teams.
- Establishes the fundamental principles of fair and transparent access.
- Sets out the rights and obligations of both parties.
- Describes the procedure for resolving disputes.
