Democritus University of Thrace is Greece’s first polycentric regional university. Its administrative headquarters are in Komotini, with services operating across the following cities of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace: Alexandroupolis, Didymoteicho, Orestiada, Komotini, Xanthi, Drama and Kavala.
The Komotini campuses (Campus A and Campus B) are composed of :
