Property Management and Development Company
The Property Management and Development Company of Democritus University of Thrace (PMDC–DUTH) was established under Law 1268/82 and Presidential Decree 108/1989, operating as a public limited company (SA).
Its purpose is the development and management of property assigned to it by the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH). The company’s share capital amounts to €300,000, with DUTH holding the sole share.
The governance of PMDC–DUTH is exercised by a seven-member Board of Directors with a four-year term, appointed by decision of the DUTH Governing Council, acting as the Company’s General Assembly, following a recommendation by the Rector.
The Rector of DUTH serves as the Chair of the Board, with the Vice-Rector for Finance, Planning & Development acting as Deputy Chair.
Decisions of the Board are implemented by the Managing Director, who is appointed by the DUTH Governing Council and is the company’s legal representative.
The current Board of Directors has been appointed for the term 1 September 2024 – 31 August 2028.
