In its twenty-five-year history, the Department of Forestry and Management of Environment and Natural Resources has played a key role in shaping the scientific identity of forestry in the country. It continues to meet the demanding criteria required for the practice and expression of our field, offering a comprehensive undergraduate program tailored to modern needs. The culmination of these dedicated efforts is the fact that our Department is currently the only one among the five Forestry Departments in Greece that awards an integrated master’s degree (a single, inseparable postgraduate qualification), a distinction that fills us with pride, as well as a strong sense of responsibility to continue our work. The Department's strong connections with the job market, opportunities for internships with companies and organizations, mobility options through European programs, and its emphasis on developing critical thinking, leadership skills, and a spirit of collaboration and creativity all contribute to enhancing the competitive advantage of our graduates in the labor market and in their future academic pursuits.
