Award for Excellence in University Teaching

The Award for Excellence in University Teaching was established at the Democritus University of Thrace in 2019, with the aim of recognising members of the academic staff who, through diverse and innovative educational activities, guide, inspire and broaden the horizons and perspectives of their students, while at the same time cultivating academic ethos and the core values of the university community.

The award comprises an honorary plaque and a certificate and is conferred annually by the Rector of the Democritus University of Thrace at a public ceremony held on the occasion of the celebration of the Three Hierarchs.
