School of Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering at the Democritus University of Thrace is located in Xanthi and is the fourth oldest engineering faculty in Greece. Since its founding in 1974, it has been a key pillar in technological education and research. It consists of the following five Schools: - Civil Engineering - Electrical and Computer Engineering - Environmental Engineering - Architecture - Production and Management Engineering

The Faculty has significantly contributed to shaping Greece’s technical workforce by educating engineers with high-level scientific and technical expertise. With modern and forward-looking curricula, comprehensive infrastructure, and strong, ongoing research activity, it prepares the next generation of technological leaders and supports innovation and sustainable development nationwide.
