Depart. of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 1974. It trains Civil Engineers capable of working in the design, construction, supervision, and maintenance of the built or landscaped environment. This includes urban developments and infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, dams, buildings, industrial and tourist facilities, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment plants, water supply and sewage networks, ports, airports, transport networks, and more. The high quality of education offered by the Department is attributed to its modern facilities and laboratories, its highly qualified academic staff, and the national and international distinctions earned by both faculty and students.
