Education Sciences: Science, Sustainability and Technology education

The Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program (IPP) is jointly offered by the Department of Primary Education of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Western Macedonia (UOWM), and the Department of Physics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh).
Following a common first semester of studies, the IPP offers three specialisation tracks: Science Education, Physics Education and Educational Technology, and Environmental and Sustainability Education.
The academic focus of the Program is postgraduate education through interdisciplinary approaches and training in the design and implementation of contemporary trends in Primary and Secondary Education curricula, with particular emphasis on inquiry-based teaching and learning.
The aim of the Program is to provide high-quality, advanced scientific knowledge in the fields covered by its three specialisation tracks.
Note: All courses are delivered through a hybrid teaching model, consisting of 40% face-to-face instruction at the premises of the collaborating departments and 60% distance learning. Classes are held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
