Depart. of Management Science and Technology

The Department of Management Science and Technology of the Democritus University of Thrace is a new modern Department which was created with the aim of promoting research and teaching in the scientific field of Management Science and Technology, for the benefit of society and science. The purpose of the program is to create executives who will combine the scientific knowledge of management science and the necessary organizational and leadership skills, framed with scientific knowledge and the ability to utilize modern technologies and in particular Informatics and Communications. With this mix of knowledge and skills they will be able to understand the complexity of modern problems, to make strategic and operational decisions and to effectively implement solutions that by their nature require an interdisciplinary approach. The simultaneously developed interdisciplinary knowledge of the graduates of the Department makes them highly competitive in the labor market, as they will be able to effectively deal with complex administrative and business problems in the modern competitive, ever-changing and technologically developed environment. In addition to the Undergraduate Studies, the Department successfully operates five Postgraduate Studies Programs covering Administrative Science and Technology.
