The Internship Office operates at Democritus University of Thrace within the framework of the Act ‘Internship at Democritus University of Thrace’ of the Operational Program ‘Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation 2014-2020’ co-funded by the European Central Bank.
Aim
- the qualitative upgrade of the existing statutory internship programs so that meaningful two-way communication between the area of Higher Education and job market can be achieved
- the even more substantial assimilation of academic and educational knowledge
- students’ familiarization with work environment and the subsequent demands of working life
- students’ smooth transition from the academic environment to the production site of businesses and organization through the acquisition of professional experience and the formation of relations with the workplace
- skills and knowledge development required for students’ future progress
