The Department of Accounting and Finance has been incorporated into Democritus University of Thrace according to Article 6 of Law 5094/2024.

The duration of the studies is eight (8) semesters and includes:

a) Theoretical instruction in courses.

b) Practical tutorial or laboratory exercises in the department’s labs (attendance at the labs is mandatory).

c) Seminars and visits to production units.

d) A thesis, and

e) Practical training.
