The Legal Service at D.U.Th. was founded with the P.D. 247/1996 (FEK 185 A/19-8-1996).
Structure of the Legal Service
a) Office of the Legal Advisor
The duties of the Legal Advisor are assigned to a member of the academic staff of the Law Faculty who is nominated so by Senate’s decision and upon the assent of General Assembly of the Law Department.
The term of office of the Legal Advisor lasts for three years and can be renewed.

Deputy Legal Advisor: Mr. Christos Mastrokostas, Associate Professor, Faculty of Law
b) Legal Committee
The Jurisdiction Committee consists of the Legal Advisor as the President and four (4) members of the academic staff of the Law Department, D.U.Th. who are nominated so by Senate’s decision and upon the assent of General Assembly of the Law Department. The term of office for the members of the Legal Committee lasts for three years and can be renewed.

c) Judicial Office
For the staffing of the office, two lawyers are expected to be appointed, following a notice, with a remuneration order and on a three-year term of office that can be renewed.
Currently, the Judicial Office has not been staffed with lawyers. The judicial and extrajudicial cases of the university are assigned to lawyers – external collaborators.
